Dave O'Brien oversees Flywire's EDU Aid and Funding partners. As a first generation college student, Dave is passionate about advocating and collaborating with industry leaders to address the barriers and obstacles for the next generation of students. In his 19-year career, Dave remains focused on leveraging technology to improve student outcomes, particularly when it comes to access and affordability. Over the last few years, Dave led the effort to bring Flywire's 529 Disbursement Solution to market. Under Dave’s leadership the team is motivated to continue its mission of digitizing payments and delivering increasing value to families and administrators alike.

Dave serves on the Data & Operations Committee for the National Association of State Treasurers' (NAST) College Savings Plan Network (CSPN), where he helps bring innovative ideas and technological advances to public offices. He is also a member of Flywire's Pride Committee, where he exercises his passion to establish fair and equitable opportunity for all. Dave holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Saint Michael's College (VT), and a Masters in Public Administration from Norwich University (VT).
